The ABTA?s code of conduct is to be altered in order to give tour operators more flexibility on compensation claimed as a result of ?force majeure? events. The ABTA?s code has up until now been modelled on the European Package Travel Regulations, which state that if there is a significant delay to a holiday, an operator must offer an alternative holiday or a refund.
