Photographer Max Milligan has spent the last couple of years in Lebanon producing his third portrait of a country, following his successful forays into Ghana and Peru. The result is this book, which will be launched on 27th October with at the Royal Geographic Society. Max's previous title Realm of the Incas was a Times Top Ten Travel Book of the Year, and a Conde Nast Traveller Book of the Month, and this book is equally spectacular. The Lebanon reveals the unseen country beyond the headlines from the ancient to the modern and illustrates the country's diversity - from Crusader remains and bedouin tents to bikinis, burkhas and Botox on the beaches and lingerie catwalks on the ski slopes.
